I launched Noah's Treehouse to support families in thinking about what it means to raise our children in today's world. After years in the commercial art world and working in an art studio combined with decades in education, I wanted to work on a project that happily marries my worlds. She has taught courses and programs in Product Design, Drawing, Painting and Fashion Design at such notable Museums and Art Schools as: Parson's The New School for Design, The Rhode Island School of Design, The Cooper-Hewitt Museum, The Guggenheim Museum, and The Museum of Arts and Design. With a background in Fine Arts and Art History, Parris' work is inspired by the Architecture, Decorative Arts and Paintings she has studied. With an interest in 18th and 19th century historical style, she continues to create original drawings, paintings.

As a fine artist, her artwork is inspired by observing texture, light, and shadow and encapsulating moments. Photography has been a medium she uses to observe the world and collects moments.

After earning a BFA in Photography from the Maryland Institute College of Art, she expanded her traditional photography into digital investigations and received an MFA in Digital Imaging from the University of Maryland Baltimore County.
